What is F.I.T.?

Acronym for Frequent Independent Traveler.  A custom-designed, prepaid travel package with many individualized arrangements. F.I.T. are unescorted and usually have no formal itinerary.

Because of the customized nature of F.I.T., operators who offer F.I.T. may need to find tour operator software that is specifically designed for the creation of custom itineraries.  Customers that prefer to book F.I.T. tend not to book online because of the complex nature of the itineraries and the high cost of the packages.  In most cases, F.I.T. is booked directly with a specialized tour operator and involves many back and forth emails and phone calls.
