Before Rezgo, our business faced a multitude of challenges that made our operations tedious and time-consuming. One of the most significant hurdles we faced was getting the correct ticket to the guest after purchase. It involved reviewing purchased tickets on our point of sale, going to a separate online ticket portal for the specific theme park, and activating the right ticket before sending it to the guest via email or regular mail. This complicated process was prone to errors, especially with theme parks having over 100 different types of tickets available for purchase. Needless to say, the last thing we wanted was to accidentally activate the wrong ticket and disappoint our guests.
Another challenge we faced was pricing the same ticket product differently across different channels. Being a provider of tickets through various platforms such as websites, hotel desks, and others, we needed to adjust prices based on location and platform. This required us to recreate each product with a slightly different name and price it differently, doubling and sometimes tripling our inventory and causing an accounting nightmare. Updating and changing prices were also a nightmare.
But our biggest challenge was handling date-based pricing from major theme parks. This meant daily changes in ticket prices based on season, availability, and other factors, which meant manually adjusting prices daily or even hourly. Managing these challenges required a lot of time and effort, and we nearly needed a full-time person to handle them.
Although we had systems in place to help with many of these struggles, they were very time consuming and each of them nearly required a full-time person to manage them.
When we were researching ticketing software, we heard a lot of positive feedback about Rezgo from other people in our industry. At Bible Tours, we’ve offered tours of the British Museum and other sites in London for many years, with the unique view of looking at things from a biblical and historical perspective. Before Rezgo, we would create all bookings manually which was very labor intensive for us and our guests. Now guests can easily view all tours, languages, dates and times available. This has made the whole tour experience more enjoyable with an easy booking procedure. We have been with Rezgo for about 5 years and have no plans to change. Results We chose Rezgo for its reasonable fees and great customer support. The interface is user friendly for guests and also our admin team. We’ve been particularly satisfied with the inventory management, which we have used to create tours in several languages. We are also very happy with the ease of adjusting bookings. If a customer needs to change their booking, this usually just takes one email request and our team can change the rest on Rezgo. Rezgo was always happy to help us and work through any problems we had, such as very high traffic to our site. Doolin2Aran Ferries is a tourist ferry and boat trip service based in a little village on the west coast of Ireland. We provide comfortable eco-friendly sailings from Doolin to the nearby Aran Islands for a half-day or full-day, and to the world renown Cliffs of Moher for a short boat cruise, offering visitors a hugely rewarding Irish cultural experience. Our Cliffs Of Moher cruise gives access to the most spectacular views of the renowned Cliffs, away from crowds and traffic on land, with the best opportunities to see Puffins and the Sea Cave that featured in Harry Potter. As our business expanded, we invested in more vessels and to all 3 islands as well as to the cliffs. There were various different capacities on the vessels and sometimes even a different vessel with a different capacity making the return leg of a daytrip. There are various ways to sail, so there could be 32 different sailing options in 1 day! This made for a very complicated UX for our end user, and a lot of bookings ended up being taken over the phone or by several individual emails rather than a self-selection process on our website. Results From the outset, the Rezgo team took the time to learn what issues were important to us, to discover the major roadblocks and suggest solutions from their experience and knowledge of other businesses similar to ours around the world. We really felt that they were on our side and wanted us to succeed. The Rezgo software is very robust and easy to use and we immediately felt confident that it was a winner. The UX for the end customer improved beyond recognition and our online sales almost tripled in some periods, so that speaks volumes! Because the Rezgo backend dashboard is so user-friendly with customizable reports, even our less “techie” personnel felt confident in accessing data on-screen instantly.
