How do I setup TripAdvisor Review Express

in Settings Tags: General Settings

The TripAdvisor Review Express program allows your Rezgo account to connect directly to TripAdvisor in order to send requests for reviews.  Once connected, the TripAdvisor Review Express program is fully automated and requires no further action.

To set-up your Rezgo account with Review Express:

Step One: Activate TripAdvisor Review Express on Rezgo

  1. In your Rezgo Admin, go to Settings > General Settings
  2. Look for the Other Accounts section and click the “Attach Tripadvisor URL”.
  3. You will be prompted to enter your TripAdvisor URL.  This is the URL of your company’s TripAdvisor page.  Copy and paste it from your browser.
  4. If you have not activated TripAdvisor Review Express before, Rezgo will send your details to TripAdvisor in order to setup your business with Review Express Automation.
  5. Rezgo will attempt to connect to TripAdvisor to confirm your opt-in status.
  6. If the connection is successful, your set-up is complete.
  7. If the connection fails, it means one of the following:
    1. You have not opted in for TripAdvisor Review Express Automation using Rezgo as your connection provider.  If so, go to TripAdvisor Review Express Set-up.
    2. TripAdvisor has not yet set-up your business to use Review Express Automation with Rezgo.  If so, you will need to wait 24-72 hours before you can complete your Review Express set-up.

Step Two: TripAdvisor Review Express Set-up

  1. Go to http://www.tripadvisor.com/owners
  2. Select your business from the list (if you manage only one business, it will be the only one in the list).
  3. This is your TripAdvisor Management Center.TripAdvisor Review Express Management Center
  4. Click on “Review Express”TripAdvisor Review Express
  5. If you have not yet created an email template for Review Express, you should click on “Create Email”.TripAdvisor Review Express Create Template
  6. Use the editor to modify your template.  When you are satisfied with your changes, save them.
  7. Click on the “Settings”TripAdvisor Review Express Settings
  8. If your business has been setup to use Rezgo and TripAdvisor, you will see an “Opt-in Now”.
  9. Click on the “Opt-in Now” button.  If your business has not yet been setup to use Rezgo, you may need to wait between 24 and 72 hours for TripAdvisor to update your account.
  10. You’ll see a box where you can choose your provider.  Select “Rezgo” as your technology provider and click the “Next” button.TripAdvisor Review Express Select Rezgo
  11. Read the terms and conditions, click on the “I accept the Terms & Conditions” and click the “Next” button.TripAdvisor Review Express Agree to Terms
  12. Confirm your official “from” business email address and click the “Submit” button.TripAdvisor Review Express Authorized Email
  13. You will be presented with a “Thank you” screen.  Close the screen to continue by clicking on the “x” in the upper right corner.TripAdvisor Review Express Thank you
  14. Your Review Express settings will now be updated to show your provider status.TripAdvisor Review Express Updated Settings

Step Two: Turn on TripAdvisor Review Express on Rezgo

Once you have opted in to Review Express on TripAdvisor, you’ll need to turn on the Review Express connection in Rezgo.

  1. Navigate to Settings > General Settings
  2. Under Other Accounts, enable TripAdvisor Review Express
  3. Rezgo will attempt to connect to TripAdvisor to confirm your opt-in status.
  4. Once connected, you will see a message that confirms the connection.

  1. You should see the Opt-in Now on the Review Express Dashboard. However, this will only show once TripAdvisor has approved you to use the Review Express API. Getting approved can sometimes take a week or so. If you are still not seeing the Opt-in, send an email to support@rezgo.com and we’ll follow up with TripAdvisor.


  2. The Review Express on TripAdvisor no longer has the Settings Tab in the same place. Where do I go to “Opt-In”, to choose Rezgo as the provider????
