Rezgo currently integrates into Bambora by way of their direct payment method. This provides a seamless checkout for your customers and fully integrates into the back-office app. The integration also allows you to offer your customers the ability to pay in part, or in full at the time of booking.
Sign-up with Bambora
You can register for an account with Bambora by phone by calling 1-888-472-0811. Be sure to mention Rezgo when you call.
Once your merchant account has been set up with Bambora, you will receive a username and password to log in and manage your Bambora account over the Web as well as a merchant ID for your account.
Set-up Your Credentials
Once you’ve registered for your Bambora account, you will receive a merchant ID number from Bambora. You will need this merchant ID number in order to integrate your Beanstream account with your Rezgo account. In order to activate your Bambora gateway, you will need the following credentials:
- merchant ID
The username and password that you use to connect to your Bambora account are the credentials you set up in your Bambora order settings. To set-up your connection credentials, navigate to administration > account settings > order settings. Look for the following section on the order settings page and create your username and password. DO NOT USE SPECIAL CHARACTERS IN THESE FIELDS.
If you try to use your regular administration username and password, you will lock yourself out of your account after 3 failed attempts. If you receive the following error:
“Bambora responded: Authorization Failed %2D Access lockout contact support”
Wait 15 minutes and then try to connect using the correct credentials.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING HASH VALIDATION
Please note that you must make sure that you disable HASH settings in your Beanstream account.
To turn it off you need to log in to the online Bambora account at https://www.bambora.com/admin and navigate to administration > account settings > order settings. Uncheck the checkbox labled “Require hash validation” and click UPDATE at the bottom of the page.
Attach the Gateway to Rezgo
Copy and paste this information into your Rezgo account by following these instructions:
1. Navigate to Settings in the main menu and click Accept Payments.
2. Click Use a Merchant Gateway (1) and then Attach Merchant Gateway (2).
3. Select Bambora from the list of supported gateways.
4. Enter your Merchant ID (1), Merchant Username (2), and Merchant Password (3) in the appropriate fields. Select the credit cards you wish to accept (4).
5. Click Attach Account (5).
If successful, the system will show the following success message:
By default, Bambora requires full address information to be submitted for every transaction, including billing phone number. Address verification will often cause problems during the payment process because of incorrect formatting of address information. To avoid issues with AVS, contact Beanstream and request that AVS be turned off for your account.
