A version of the tour or activity that a customer can actually book. In most cases, this is a time slot or start time. For example, a river rafting trip may start at 9:00am, 11:00am, and 1:00pm. In this case, there would be three options available for booking. During the booking process, the customer would pick which option they wish to book. Pricing and availability is managed at the option level which means that pricing and availability may be different from each option in a tour or activity. By applying a pricing or availability rule or rules to the tour options, a tour operator can apply yield management techniques in order to maximize their revenues.
