Rezgo offers the only fully secured transactional XML API of its kind designed for activity operators.
The Rezgo platform is designed based on an industry recognized multi-tiered architecture. By separating the database, application layer, and presentation layer by using a highly capable XML messaging layer, we are able to ensure that each service is optimized to its own specific requirements.
The Rezgo front-end booking interface, which is shared by all members of the Rezgo platform is built on top of the Rezgo XML API. By building the Rezgo platform in this way, we have been able to ensure that the XML API is powerful, robust, extensible, and well documented.
We invite developers to consider integrating the Rezgo XML API into their web, mobile, or even network capable desktop or server applications. There are two methods for connecting and integrating with the Rezgo platform:
Rezgo Supplier XML
Connecting to the Rezgo Supplier XML allows a developer to get access to product data, media, availability, bookings, and vouchers for a specific supplier member. This is particularly useful if you are developing a customized website or booking interface for a Rezgo member who does not want to use the standard white label solution. This type of integration is also useful if the Rezgo supplier member is integrating their products into a mobile application or integrating with an existing desktop reservation system.
Rezgo Vendor/Reseller XML
Connections to the Rezgo Vendor XML gives a developer access to a wide set of products linked to the Vendor’s account. This type of integration is excellent for offering a wider variety of products and services through an aggregated website or service. If you are looking to integrate products from many suppliers into a single application, then this is by far the best method. Since all product in Rezgo can be geo-tagged, it is well suited to location based services on mobile devices. Other possible integration opportunities include customized portals or integration with other travel sites like online travel agencies or a trip planning site.
Rezgo is leading the way
Rezgo is an active member of the OpenTravel Alliance and is deeply involved in the creation of the XML schema standard for tours and activities. In fact, we donated our entire XML schema to OpenTravel to help jump start the creation of the messages and the Rezgo CEO is also the Chair of Board of Directors. So when it comes to XML standards we don’t just walk the walk, we are blazing the path.
