What is Cloud Computing?

• Less Costly – Cloud based applications like Rezgo don’t require upfront license, installation, set-up, or maintenance fees.  This is why we can provide Rezgo on a service fee basis without set-up or recurring monthly license fees.

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for web applications such as Rezgo.com.  Amazon EC2’s simple web service interface allows Rezgo to obtain and configure capacity with minimal friction. It provides us with complete control of our computing resources and lets us run on Amazon’s proven computing environment. Amazon EC2 reduces the time required to obtain and boot new server instances to minutes, allowing us to quickly scale capacity, both up and down, as our computing requirements change. Amazon EC2 provides Rezgo with the tools to build failure resilient applications and isolate ourselves from common failure scenarios.

Constantly monitored

The Rezgo servers are constantly monitored by Amazon EC2 alert system.  Amazon constantly monitors the Rezgo application and XML API and checks the availability and stress of the servers.  If there is ever a problem with Rezgo, the Rezgo team is notified via email and SMS.  If ever there is a problem with Rezgo, we’ll know about it right away.
