Important Base Currency Changes
In the July release of Rezgo, we changed the way that the base currency is set and displayed for your customers. The change meant that you needed to set your currency during the sign-up process. The change still allowed you to change the currency symbol in your Settings > Payment Methods without directly affecting your base currency. In order to standardize base currency and symbols we will automatically associate the correct symbol with the base currency that you have chosen. This will eliminate any confusion between your base currency and the currency your customers see on your booking website. Once the updates have been released you will see your base currency on your Rezgo Admin dashboard. Please contact us if you need to change your base currency.
Promotion Codes for Back-end Bookings
Many Rezgo members have been using the back-end booking functionality in the last couple of months. One of the most frequent requests has been to support promotion codes. We are excited to say that the upcoming release will include support for the promotion codes in back-end bookings. We are also continuously working on streamlining the back-end booking process so keep your eyes open for further updates.
New Booking Report
We have added a new booking report to the reports tab. This new booking report replaces the “Legacy Reports” which will be phased out in the next release. The new booking report will allow you to view your bookings in a more traditional revenue report format. The new report will make it easier for you to track your current revenues and see what bookings are coming up. You’ll find the new booking report in the Reports section of the Rezgo Administration system. Look for the new report in the coming weeks.
Dealing with Cancellations
Nobody likes cancellations, but they are a part of life in the tour & activity business. We have updated the cancellation mechanism in Rezgo in order to improve the tracking of cancellations. Now when you cancel a booking, you will asked for a reason for cancellation. You can enter a quick note and then save the cancellation for future reference. This is a great tool for evaluating why customers cancel so that you can continue to improve your business.
Note: You will no longer be able to trash or delete bookings in Rezgo. If you create test bookings, make sure you cancel the bookings and note that they are test bookings. This will protect you from being charged for test bookings.
