Feature Spoiler - Image & Video Galleries
We are really excited about some of the new Rezgo.com features that are being released in the next couple of weeks. The new features are designed to allow you, as a tour operator, to profile your tours and activities with more rich media (like images and video). This means that every tour or activity you add can have an image gallery associated with it and a video gallery. When your customers visit your website and check-out your products they can see pictures and watch videos of other travelers taking your tours. This can be very compelling marketing for your potential customer. In addition to the marketing potential these new features provide, these features also make it easy for your distribution partners or vendors to access collateral for marketing your products. For example, if you resell your products through a company like Viator, Isango, FlightCentre, or even a local travel agent, they need images and other marketing collateral from you in order to sell your products. You can now upload all your marketing images to Rezgo.com and have all your web marketing text, images, and videos in one place.
Here are some screen shot of the image and video gallery features from the upcoming Rezgo.com release:

You can access the image and video gallery by clicking on the media tab when you edit a tour. You can set a thumbnail image, add multiple gallery images, and embed videos from sites like YouTube, MetaCafe, Google Video, and ifilm.

This is an example of the cropping tool used to create the thumbnail image for your tour or activity. The cropping tool is used to make sure that all thumbnails are consistent in size and won’t break the front-end layout of your site.

The image gallery tool allows you to either drag and drop images right from your desktop or you can browse your computer for files to upload. The uploader allows you to upload many images at a time. This saves you a ton of time when you have a lot of images to deal with.

The video gallery allows you to attach a video to your tour or activity. This means that you can upload your video to a number of social video sites and then attach them to your site instead of having to re-upload your video again. You can also embed other videos. In this example, we have attached a Las Vegas Tours video that was produced by the Travel Channel. It’s as simple as pasting the URL of the YouTube (or other video site) page and writing a short caption, Rezgo.com does the rest.

Once you upload all your images and videos and save your changes, you can preview your image and video gallery directly on your Tour Details page.
Before this feature is released in mid-September you might want to make sure you have your images and videos ready. If you want to find some good videos to attach, be sure to visit YouTube, MetCafe, Google Video, and ifilm.
