After much anticipation we are happy to announce that the Marketplace functionality is complete. The Rezgo Marketplace is a built in distribution network that allows you to distribute your products through third-party websites. When a sale is made through a third party, you agree to pay that third party a commission for the sale. We do not charge any additional fees for you to use this feature and it is available for some or all of your products.
We are also pleased to announce that the Flight Centre, our premiere marketplace partner, will be launching their integrated marketplace on February 15th, 2008. Over the next two weeks, Flight Centre will be reviewing all applications for participation in their marketplace. Here is some very important information that you should note prior to your application to the Flight Centre Marketplace:
- You must have a complete “About Us” information. Make sure that you describe your company in as much detail as possible. This might be your customer history, your customer service policy, etc. For an example of a good “About Us” take a look at Amsterdam City Tours.
- You must have complete “Booking Terms”. This should be any conditions for online booking, cancellation policy, refund policy, and special conditions. For a good example of Booking Terms, take a look at Bike Volcano.
- Your products must be complete and they must be available for booking. You should ensure that each of products has a nice thumbnail picture, a full description including as much information as possible, and availability for booking. Take a look at Blue Sky Aviation’s Dairy Tour as an example.
- You must ensure that each product you wish to sell is available for listing in the marketplace. By default, your products will be available unless you click the “Do no list in Marketplace” checkbox. Be sure to choose a classification for your product. Important Note: Remember that you should only set a commission for an individual product if you want to OVERRIDE the commission of the marketplace. If your product commission is lower than the commission you have agreed to for the marketplace, your product will not display in the marketplace.
- Although you do not have to be a paid Rezgo member when you apply, you will need to be a paid member in order to distribute your products through the Marketplace and to accept bookings.
To Apply to the Flight Centre Marketplace:
- From the Administration main page, click on the “Marketplace” tab.
- Under Pending Marketplaces, click on the Flight Centre button. You will be presented with the details of the Flight Centre marketplace.
- Click on the “Add Marketplace” button. You will be presented with a box that outlines the terms of the Flight Centre Marketplace as well as a text box for the commission amount you wish to offer Flight Centre. The requested commission level is 12%, however, you are free to offer any amount depending on your margin and product retail price.
- Scroll to the end of the terms and conditions and click on the “Add Marketplace”.
- The page will refresh and a message box will appear that indicates your application is pending. The Flight Centre Icon will move to a “Pending Marketplace” section in the side bar.
- Once your application has been accepted, the Flight Centre logo will move to the “Active Marketplace” section. Once you have been accepted, any new products you add will automatically be added to the Flight Centre Marketplace.
