Let’s say you offer a product that is available for $500 retail, but you also offer a discounted version of the product for distributors, preferred distributors, and wholesalers. Can the Booking Server support different pricing for the same availability? The answer is yes. This is how you do it:

  1. Create your retail version of the product with your retail pricing.
  2. Using the “Add Similar” function, create a duplicate product, but rename it Name - Distributor.
  3. Set your pricing for the product to your Distributor Pricing and check the “Hide from View”.
  4. Using the “Add Similar” function, create duplicates for the preferred distributor and wholesale.
  5. You should have four versions of the same product.
  6. Go to rules and click “Add”
  7. Create a new rule where your “Availability” and “Linked Availability” are the maximum available for the trip.
  8. Select ALL four versions of the trip and save your rule.

What we have done is linked the availability for all four products together so that no matter which one you sell, the availability for all of them will be affected. For example, if you sell 2 wholesale bookings, the availability for the retail and distributor products will also be decreased by 2. In this way, you can present one product to the public for purchase and create other pricing versions of the same product for purchase by wholesalers, distributors, etc.
