Multiple Date/Time Inventory Items

Loading ...We have been receiving a lot of feedback from Beta users who would like to have support for tour items that have multiple item slots in a day. For example, if you have a tour that runs at 9:00am, 11:00am, and 13:00pm without having to display each tour item as a seperate inventory item. We have added some modifications to the front-end to allow for this.
Here is how it works… In the back-end, create your primary inventory item with all the description, image, and other information you want to display. Once you have created this item, use the “Add Similar” button in the upper right hand side of the interface to duplicate all the values for the item you are duplicating. Change the time for the item. If for example, the first item was 9:00 - 11:00, change the time to 12:00 - 13:00 or whatever happens to be the case for the item. Save your changes. Duplicate this step as necessary to complete your time offerings.
On the front-end, all similar inventory items will be combined together into one display. So if you have 5 Tour Guide Course items in the back-end, the customer will only see 1 Tour Guide Course. When they click on the item, they will be presented with a calendar with the available dates for the courses. They pick the date that they want and screen will refresh. If there are multiple time slots, the screen will show the time options. When the customer clicks on the time option, the availability and pricing will update dynamically to show accurate pricing and availability.
